Did Vlad Dracula really convert to Catholicism?
I keep seeing disputes over this on Orthodox Christian forums. It makes sense if he was Orthodox since he was from an Orthodox country, but same time he belonged to the Order of the Dragon that only Catholics could join. So this is pretty confusing.

Which Vladimir Dracul do you mean first of all?
Vlad the impaler or his dad Vlad Dracula?
Both were members of the order of the dragon whose main aim was to fight the enemies of Christianity.
100% Catholic Christian both, my friend.
EDIT - From wiki
“According to a surviving copy of its statute, the Order (of the Dragon) required its initiates to defend the Cross and fight the enemies of Christianity, in particular the Ottoman Turks.

Hahahahha! Like jesus, Mr. Dracula very probably didn’t exist. What’s confusing is that religious people lie and make up stuff.
Vlad lived in an area trapped between the Holy Roman Empire, the Turks, Russia, and Hungary. Political fortunes changed rapidly.
“While his real religious beliefs are unknown to us, his family was raised Catholic for political reasons, to avoid offending Sigismund I, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and ruler of Germany, Hungary and Bohemia. He had more in common, however, with the Romanian Orthodox Church and favoured monasteries in Tismana and Snagov. ” …”Vlad Dracula died a Catholic (for political reasons), and was buried in an unmarked tomb at a Romanian Orthodox monastery. ” [1]
Blessings.
